PRECIPITATION STRUCTURES OF THE CALA ESTEVE COVE

The visit to the site of Geological Interest runs along the coast, on land that is mainly irregular and without a clearly defined path in parts. An interesting feature of the area is Torre d’en Penjat, built by the British in 1798, and in particular Fort Marlborough, a stunning eighteenth-century fortification built during British rule of the island and excavated from the rock. Together with the Castell de Sant Felip fortress, their aim was to protect the entrance to the port of Maó.
