Cala del Pilar has a car park 2 kilometres from the beach. The area around the beach contains aspects of interest for the Site of Geological Interest, although most of these are concentrated on Alforinet shingle beach, which you can access from the Camí de Cavalls path that skirts El Pilar beach towards the west. You can also reach the beach from Els Alocs beach, but the path is longer.
