The site can be visited all year round provided the sea conditions permit. If you visit it in summer you can enjoy a swim.
Collecting fossils is expressly prohibited.
Don`t forget to visit the old machine-gun nests adjacent to the marès quarries, constructed in the 1940s. From their high position you can also observe the coastline, including the islet of Sa Galera, where there is an important archaeological site corresponding to a place of worship that was active in Talayotic and Phoenician times related with the commercial maritime routes. In addition, the entire fringe of Es Carnatge constitutes a place of great botanical interest for its diversity of plants of coastal environments.
