THE GEOLOGICAL VARIETY OF HARBOUR OF CABRERA

In this itinerary, following the paths laid out for tourist visits, we will have an overview of the geology of Cabrera. For this purpose, the cove of the harbour is an excellent spot thanks to its easy access and the diversity of the materials seen here. We will be able to observe the materials that were formed in seabeds of the Upper Jurassic (165-145 Ma), recognisable in the climb up to the castle, the rocks with nummulites of the Eocene (45 Ma), visible in the zone of the military camp, and the breccias of the Upper Triassic-Lower Jurassic (between 208 and 199 Ma) which tectonic, eustatic or antropical processes</span></p></div>">outcrop in the south-west coast.
