In the coastal zone of the municipality of Llucmajor, between the residential areas of Cala Pi and Es Pas, we can observe the structures of the Upper Miocene reef complex and its relationship with the marine deposits of the Pliocene and the continental deposits of the Pleistocene; that is to say, in this zone the events have remained fossilised that took place in the island of Mallorca from 7 Ma ago, notably the Great Desiccation of the Mediterranean.
